Hi,
I updated our vsc installation from 6.2P1 to 6.2.1.
Since the upgrade I have the following error when trying to use the logviewer:
HTTP ERROR 500
Problem accessing /smvi/logViewer. Reason:
Unable to compile class for JSP: An error occurred at line: 1 in the generated java file The type java.io.ObjectInputStream cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files Stacktrace:

Thank you for any help.
Solved! See The Solution
I was able to apply "D2" and can happily report that this resolves the Log Viewer issue... looks like a good fix.
...and I'm nototrious for stepping on every rake in the yard when it comes to this kind of thing!

Looking for guidance on the 6.2.1P1D2 installation. We have turned off HBSS / McAfee Intrusion detection and the installation continues to fail at restarting the two windows services. They are running at the start of the session, the script stops them and attempts to restart, but fails. Any thoughts
I had the same issue. First kill any hanging JAVA processes (identify them in process explorer) and try again (it's worked for others).
If that does not work:
Backup all the VSC configs and data for your current VSC install (see link below).
Then uninstall the current version
REBOOT
Then install the new version.
Then restore configs and history

I had to backup, uninstall, reboot install new and restore data... worked great. yes, blood pressure was up!
Hi Jurgen, we have same issue here, did you ever get a resolution ?
