- Load balancer: do all the client data traffic must go through the load balancer or it is possible to configure the load balancer to redirect the clients to one of the storage nodes.
Answer: Not all the client data traffic must go throught the loadbalancer. You can directly send client traffic to a specific storage node. If you decide to send your traffic through the load balancer then it is not possible to configure the load balancer to redirect the clients to one of the storage nodes as this is not a supported configuration.
- Appliances: how many disks can fail before an appliance stop serving data?
Answer: This depends on the cofiguration of your appliance whether DDP, DDP16 or RAID 6, and number of drives (preservation capacity). Please refer to the E-series documentation for the underying hardware of your appliance.
