SDK: API call for "cifs sidcache clear"?!?

Hi all.

I cannot find an API call for "cifs sidcache clear", but would need that functionality within one of our tools.

Any way to do that kind of thing with the existing 5.2 SDK (without "fall-back" to cli-*)?

Any idea if this API functionality will be added soon?

Thanks & regards

Hi Anton,

"cifs sidcache clear" is a 7-mode command and probably will not be done.  You will have to use the system-cli API to invoke "cifs sidcache clear".  You can look at example here: https://communities.netapp.com/message/80663#80663

Thanks Rick.

Yeah, was aware of this "cli-" stuff but it's not an option for me.

Nevertheless, thanks again.

Hi Anton,

I curious, why it is not available to you?  Permissions are the same.

because we have only some "api-*" capabilities granted and this one needs for sure "cli-*" and/or also the "system-cli" capability, right?

Yes, the capability for system-cli would have to be granted along with "cifs sidecache".  I have not played around with 7-mode in a long time.
