When will we be able to disable alert generation for an entire cluster at a time in OCUM?
Currently it is impossible as you have to try and exclude the cluster, each node, each lif, each volume, etc. instead of just a checkbox or button to temporarily disable alerts. This is much needed during periods of maintenance to a system to avoid constant ticket generation.

Good news ! seems to be resolved in 9.5
from release notes:
New Unified Manager maintenance window functionality You can define a Unified Manager maintenance window to suppress events and alerts for a specific timeframe when you have scheduled cluster maintenance and you do not want to receive a flood of unwanted notifications. During a maintenance window the events related to all objects on that cluster are still generated, but they do not appear in any of the UI pages, and no alerts or other types of notification are sent for these events. See the topic "What a Unified Manager maintenance window is" in the online help for more details.
We do have an option to disable the alerts specific to cluster by excluding the cluster name in OCUM 9.4.
Could you please let us know your unified manager version.
If you have some specific requirements please elaborate, and provide the screenshot of the same.
Hello. Thanks for the reply. While there is an exclude tab for cluster, we've found that this only excludes overall cluster specific events. Events for nodes, volumes, aggregates, lifs, etc. within the cluster are all still triggered even when the "cluster" is excluded. I've attached a screenshot of where I'm looking.
See also @Cavin post from few weeks back.
i think that should be requested as an RFE via an account manager (well very likely they have one. but more hits on it will put it higher on the list.
Hi @TABER_BRANDEN,
Thanks for the feedback.
Can you please create a case for this and involve your account manager and this will be requested as an RFE.

Excellent. Exactly what we were looking for. We've upgraded and have used it a couple of times now.
